Eden Records, formerly Vintage Vinyl, moved to the former Pottery Basement premises in Skipton Street last month.
Paula Baker and her husband Mark opened Vintage Vinyl in Albert Road in 2014, but they were too big for the space and needed bigger premises to accommodate their huge vinyl collection.
Paula said: âWe had to move because we had to have a bigger store.
âThis is our third move, and we don’t move!
âWe are in a very good central location now.
âI miss the West End, I miss the community there, but we’ve moved to another community and there are some really lovely people here and we’re in a great location as well.
âMy partner had a 20 odd year obsession with vinyl.
âWe have a whole collection, with prices ranging from 50p to 300 £.
âWe cover all genres of music. Anyone who comes here can afford to buy something.
âWe found that in the digital age a lot has been lost in translation, and there are about eight to ten tones that digital cannot pick up. Analogue enhances the experience musically. “
Paula says she also intends to use some of their extra space for musical nights and events in the future.
