HIGH EARTH, Ind. (WTHI) – Saturday, June 12 marks National Record Shop Day.
To celebrate this day, a grand opening took place in the 12 Points district in downtown Terre Haute!
The Record Store Day Arts and Music festival took place during the inauguration of Local Vinyl.
The event took place from 12 p.m. and lasted until 5 p.m.
Vinyl enthusiasts came together and were able to enjoy a new record venue locally.
Store owner Eleanor Jones hopes that by opening this new store in the Wabash Valley, people like her and others who share her appreciation for vinyl records won’t have to travel outside.
“Previously, I had to drive out of state if I wanted to get a record, but by doing this I can invite other people to come and enjoy, while also buying locally.” Jones said.
You can find local vinyl at 12 points.
The Local Vinyl will not only have music, live music and events, they will also host comedic nights!
