Ultimate music on vinyl records

Another way to enjoy an impressive soundtrack!

When you think of game soundtracks with vinyl versions, several things come to mind. Maybe it would be for an artistic indie game like Gray? This audience seems to like vinyls. Maybe it’s for something with a vintage flair, like Cuphead. But whatever you usually think, the fast melodic score in Sonic games probably isn’t. But despite that, Sonic Colors: Ultimate still got one. And you know what? it works a bit!

Starting today, Sonic fans can pre-order the 2-Disc disc at iam8bit.com, with two editions to choose from. The Open Edition costs $ 39.99 and includes two vinyl records in random colors, taken from a pool of blue, purple, orange, and green – a nod to the colorful Wisps players can use in-game. L The exclusive edition costs US $ 44.99 and is limited to 500 copies. It features colorful vinyl with wild sprite trail splash effect. The exclusive edition will also ship first, scheduled for the last quarter of this year. The Open Edition will ship next year.

Sonic games have always been known for their stellar soundtracks, and Sonic Colors: Ultimate is no exception. The phrase “Reach for the Stars” alone is enough to make this chorus resonate in the minds of connoisseurs, and there are still 20 more tracks to be found on these records.

This isn’t Sonic’s first vinyl adventure, either. Sonic Mania had its own version, releasing half the records in the Colors version for half the price. This release was very well received by fans, so if you missed it it could be a great way to get in on the action!
